Very Tight is a swiss army recording studio featuring a modular recording setup and a vast collection of gear, making it easy to create a unique, specialized production. There is no one size fits all approach to recording which is why the studio space is built to adapt to each artist’s and band’s specific situation and needs. With modular absorption panels, reflectors and diffusers, as well as an unlmitited combination of mics, preamps, and equipment, the studio can be configured to best serve your song. Shape the space around your sound.

Built for Bands, Engineered for Sound

The studio is located on the first floor of an old railyard (Norfolk Southern/Pittsburgh line) warehouse – A raw, authentic feel that reflects the style, attitude, and character of the studio’s productions. The layout is capable of capturing individual performances as well as full band, live sessions. Every room offers clear lines of sight between performers while maintaining complete isolation between sound sources. Easy access between rooms allows for quick gear swaps if a specific part calls for it. With five separate spaces for isolation, projects of any size can record while keeping each instrument free from bleed. And for breaks and time away from the session, a comfortable lounge and kitchen provide space for rest and recharging.
