Why very tight?
Serious, honest, hard work. If something needs adjusting, we change it. If something needs to be played again, we do it again. We are here to make a professional recording.
Every project is set up from scratch. Not presets. There isn’t one pre-mic’d house drum kit you have to use, nor is there one specific amp or guitar you have to play. What there is, is a large selection of equipment and gear to mix and match to help us achieve the sound you’re looking for. The studio’s equipment has been sought out and tracked down over the years for musicians to utilize and achieve the ideal sound. Whether it be the thickest guitar tone, the punchiest bass tone, or an insanely articulate drum tone, we’ll make it happen.
I believe there are three steps for success in the studio:
Understanding and realizing what good quality is.
Utilizing and possessing the tools and resources to produce quality work.
Having the drive, perseverance, and knowledge to keep working until you hit your goal.
Inside the studio, DAW sessions are displayed on big screen monitors. There are no engineer “behind the curtain” secrets or hidden studio magic tricks. The session is completely transparent. Audio edits are performed with the artist present so you’re aware how much digital manipulation is being used or not used on your project. Asking questions while we track is encouraged. We’re in this together.
