Very Tight Recordings is located in Pittsburgh, Pa near the Allegheny River, and is owned and operated by Matt Very. The facility is just under 3,000 sq ft housing a spacious control room, responsive live room, three isolation rooms, complete kitchen, and lounge. Available for usage are over 50 mics, 30 amps, 4 full drum kits, 11 snares, 23 guitars, tons of cymbals, and more pedals than you can count (seriously). The studio’s control room features Genelec monitors and subwoofer for absolute clarity and accuracy when reviewing performances and mixes.  

Very Tight is a swiss army recording studio containing a modular recording setup, and home to such a vast collection of gear, allows for a unique, specialized production. There is no one size fits all recording approach and because of that, the studio is designed to adapt to each artist’s and band’s situation. The studio’s layout is capable of capturing individual performances as well as full band, live performances. Each room provides a clear line of sight between all performers while also maintaining complete isolation between sound sources.
